We are looking for a talented content contributor who is equally skilled at writing Software Engineering curriculum content and producing videos tied to Software Engineering curriculum content. This is a full-time, two-month contractor position with flexible working hours,with two synchronous 60-minute team meetings per week, and one synchronous 30-minute manager meeting per week, where attendance is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop written and video content for Software Engineering curriculum

Collaborate with instructional designers and other SMEs to ensure content accuracy and relevance

Tailor content to different learning styles, ensuring it is accessible and engaging for a diverse student body

Meet strict production deadlines for written and video curriculum material needs

Attend three meetings (2.5 hours total) held at various times during Mon-Fri 8a-5p PT work week

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering (or a related field) or 2-5 years of work experience in Software Engineering (or a related field)

Proven experience in content creation, preferably in the fields of Software Engineering and/or online education

Experience creating educational videos with OBS software

Blog writing experience on Software Engineering topics a plus

Strong understanding of Software Engineering concepts, practices, and industry standards

Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in an accessible and engaging manner

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage frequently shifting priorities is a must

Commitment to creating inclusive and student-centered learning materials

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

Proficiency in Open Broadcaster Software (OBS)

GitHub experience required

Experience working in Jira a plus

Experience working in Slack a plus

CodeGrade - nice-to-have

Expected Compensation:

$40-48/hr
