They are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual work days. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.Responsibilities:Work with business teams and other key stakeholders to help develop well-designed products, processes, marketing, and supporting technologies and implement risk management practices; support our business partners on risk / return trade-off decisionsLead risk framework discussions and drive creative solutions to improve the risk profileParticipate in risk forums and business reporting routines and contribute to continuous improvement of risk management practicesLead ad-hoc projects to improve processes or control environment to mitigate risksAnalyze data to proactively identify risks and trendsStay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the business areas that you supportSet and deliver on our well-managed agendaSupport, partner, and interact with internal business clientsSet direction, manage expectations, and lead cross-functional teamsHere's what we're looking for in an ideal teammate:You are passionate about identifying challenges and solving problemsYou think critically and seek to understand the business, its processes, risks and control environmentYou possess a relentless focus on quality and timelinessYou adapt to change, embrace bold ideas, and are intellectually curious; you test assumptions and challenge conventional thinkingYou develop influential relationships based upon shared risk objectivesYou create energy and an environment that fosters trust, collaboration, and belongingYou do the right thing and lead by example; you have a passion for investing in the betterment of the teamBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Military experienceAt least 4 years of experience working in risk management or financial servicesAt least 4 years of program management experienceAt least 4 years of experience in partnership managementAt least 2 years of experience working in a regulated industry or supporting risk or marketing for a regulated industryPreferred Qualifications:Masters Degree6+ years of program management experience leading cross functional risk programs6+ years of financial services risk management experience2+ years experience in Agile or design thinkingCertified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)Lean, Six Sigma or Business Process Management certificationPMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
