This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This person will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. The Product Manager reports to the Director of Product Management.
Primary ResponsibilitiesDefine the product strategy and roadmap for the software based products and applicationsDeliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justificationWork with external third parties, including sales channel and key customers to assess partnerships and licensing opportunitiesWork with Product Marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customerWork with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirementsRun beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samplesBe an expert with respect to the competition
Requirement:QualificationsMinimum of 10 years experience as a Product ManagerDemonstrated success defining and launching excellent products5+ years of experience in the transportation marketBachelor's degree in Technical Field or BusinessTechnical background, with experience in software product management, with an emphasis in server based network management and user interface designProven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authorityMust be able to travel 25% of the timeExamples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
