If you were the kid who couldn’t resist pushing the button to see what would happen, this is the job for you! The Multimedia manager will help with the setup, testing, and complex installation of immersive, multimedia exhibits for WNDR and manage the maintenance, repair, and installation of new exhibits. This is a very hands-on role that requires moving heavy equipment, using ladders, scissor lifts, etc.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Opening and closing museum exhibits using set protocolPerform regular maintenance on AV equipment to ensure everything is functioning correctly.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with equipment, such as sound distortion, poor video quality, or connectivity problems.Provide technical support to presenters and performers, assisting with microphone setup and video playback during events.Create and maintain documentation for AV setups, including diagrams and instructions.Communicate with manager(s) regarding technical issuesTrain new ambassadors on museum exhibit protocolsQUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

4+ years’ experience in AV/multimedia techExcellent communication, organization and interpersonal skillsExperience in Installing and maintaining AV equipment in gallery and public space settings (including, but not limited to, cable termination, rack building, understanding of safe mounting and anchoring techniques, projectors, video displays, audio systems, lighting rigs and security devices)Skilled in troubleshooting AV equipment and resolving technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted operation during museum hours and report technical issues.Fundamental understanding of TouchDesigner, Unity, Unreal Engine or similar creative coding packagesBasic understanding of network configurations and protocols.Experience with Show Controller and WATCHOUT a plusAble to use ladders and instal/test equipments mounted on ceilingCarpentry, electrical, or other construction or facilities experience is a plusPassion to represent WNDR with professionalism, clear communication, high integrity, and enthusiasm for our purpose and missionEagerness and ability to pick up new software and tools of the trade supervisors/directors/colleaguesAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that operates 7 days a week including some night and holiday availabilityAbility to organize, direct, and manage projects, work independently, and demonstrate sound judgment – holding yourself accountable for activity and results under your leadershipAt WNDR, we are passionate about finding self starters who can help us grow our organization.
