The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for directing marketing objectives and activities to promote products and services.

You could be just the right applicant for this job Read all associated information and make sure to apply.Duties & Responsibilities:Formulate, coordinate and direct marketing objectives and activities to promote products and services.Develop and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of company objectives, market characteristics, and cost and mark up factors.Develop pricing strategies and evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return on investment and profit loss projections.Compile lists and/or catalogs describing product offerings.Initiate market research studies and analyze the findings.Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines and services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with the sale team, advertisers, and production managers to market products and to identify exclusive items for sales and promotions.Develop strategies that energize and strongly differentiate the brand in the marketplace including defining/redefining the brand positioning and developing new messaging strategies.Create and execute successful advertising campaigns, media strategies and marketing programs to increase brand awareness, drive traffic and repeat purchasing.Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products and services.Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.Confer with legal department to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.Responsible for the hiring, training and performance evaluations of marketing staff and oversee their daily activities.Other duties as assigned.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years of increased responsibility within roles at the senior management level.Experience building credibility and dealing with key industry analysts and press.Knowledge of principles and methods for presenting, promoting and selling products or services.Skills & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.Ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals.
