Under the supervision of the GM, the VP of Publicity will be responsible for leading and growing the Publicity team and for the performance and success of publicity activities for FlyteVu Agency and Client accounts and programs. The ideal candidate will be able to lead retainer accounts on an ongoing basis, conceptualize campaigns strategically, lead effectively, and strengthen client relationships by ensuring overall client and campaign success.Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities

:Strategic Leadership

Drive the vision and strategy for the Publicity Department, aligning with the broader goals of FlyteVu at the intersection of the current pop culture and media landscape.Bring relevant insights and industry trends to GM and FlyteVu leadership to ensure the company evolves at the pace of the industryLead and grow the FlyteVu Publicity Team

Departmental Management & Oversight

Manage PR team day to day: supervise, lead, train, and inspire the PR team with best practices and sound recommendations, prioritize projects and deadlines for completionOversee resourcing, hiring, and overall management of the Publicity DepartmentProvide mentorship to the publicity team, setting clear objectives and ensuring their professional growthReview and approve all contractor scopes of work and manage relationships with contractors to ensure alignment with FlyteVu standards and objectives.Create & adjust internal processes to ensure ongoing communication with other FlyteVu teams, including Accounts, Creative, and Production

Client strategy and management

Responsible for building client PR Strategy for always-on retainer accounts and individual campaigns and programsLead PR retainer account through kick-off, establishing client-facing routines and documents, and ongoing management and regular status check-ins to ensure delivery against KPIsContribute to Phase 1 and always-on strategies with relevant insights and strategic ideas in the realm of publicity and mediaDefine appropriate KPIs based on Client objectives and ensure delivery against themCommunicate & present plans to Clients as neededResponsible for the success of Client programs, including strategy adjustments mid-campaign or Crisis Communication responsesManage media partnerships and budgetsAdvise on contractual PR deliverables and manage fulfillment of agreed-upon deliverables for TalentSuccessful ability to pitch local, regional, and national pressAssist with on-site activation and fulfillment of client programs, which require that employees:

Must be able to travel without restrictionMust pass a background check

Responsible for providing client solutions, recommendations, and updates to GM

Relationship Management

Cultivate and maintain key relationships with publicists, managers, and agents within the entertainment industryBuild, maintain, and nurture a solid database of high-level media contacts and continuously build new relationships on a local, regional, and national level
