JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Marketing and Public Relations evaluates medical center goals and priorities along with opportunities in the marketplace, and develops marketing strategies community relations activities and internal communications. Provides guidance and coordination of hospital marketing efforts, monitors results and initiates best practice for areas of responsibility. Coordinates strategies for best results from team efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Provides input to and serves as a resource to the regional marketing director related to new mover, hospital website, local branding; community relations and call center strategies.

Helps the regional marketing director and system service line marketing directors in developing short term and long-term marketing strategies to meet the business priorities of the medical center.

Develops, coordinates and implements specific local branding and community relations strategies.

Evaluates results of direct mail campaigns initiated by the department to recommend adjustments to improve results.

Participates in administrative and physician meetings, director meetings and other hospital meetings as needed.

Creates, monitors and maintains community relations budget. Tracks community benefit activity in CBISA and helps community benefit planning and reporting as needed.

Gives local response and assistance for news media relations activities working with BSWH news media team.

Ensures the mission, vision and values of BSWH are incorporated into all activities.
