POSITION SUMMARY

The Y seeks a creative and organized professional to help advance the mission of the organization through the creation and delivery of clear and compelling communications. Ideal candidate should be proficient in the field of social media marketing and the development of engaging content in order to help boost and enhance social media presence. Candidate should also have knowledge of digital marketing and graphic design, experience with photography, and be able to navigate Microsoft Windows programs with experience in Adobe Creative Suite.

The ideal candidate is a natural communicator, articulate both in person and on paper, and is a thorough proofreader with great attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Social

Media

Marketing: Maintain and manage social media presence for the YMCA of South Palm Beach County.Social media management of all platforms for the YMCA of SPBC. Responsibilities include collaborating with Marketing department on association-wide calendar, creating/scheduling social media content including the production of live video content at Y events, maintaining regular posts/content, researching social media marketing trends, monitoring all channels and handling customer interactions in a timely manner.Manage YMCA social App including updating events, schedules/information, push notifications and communicating any requests/issues coming through the App.Website Content : Maintain the YMCA of SPBC website including creating new webpages and events as needed.

Ensure website content is accurate and consistently updated. Ensure content and images are professional, engaging and effective in communicating our services and programs.Work with Branch Directors to ensure department web pages are current and reflect consistency throughout the site as we communicate to multiple audiences.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal Marketing Design:

Maintain and update printed marketing materials, member communication templates including newsletters, internal branch marketing pieces and promotions.

Assist departments in creating marketing materials (flyers, etc.) in order to ensure brand compliancy.Ensure department materials follow brand compliancy standards and messages are supportive of/consistent with current marketing strategies.Photography/Videography:

Coordinate and produce video content including testimonials, program features, etc. for various campaigns.Event/program photos to be used in print and digital marketing materials.Email

Marketing : Coordinate email-marketing efforts for the YMCA of SPBC.

Create, review and execute weekly/monthly e-newsletters.Other assigned Marketing duties as not included.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field preferredKnowledge of a variety of marketing concepts, platforms and strategies, including content marketing, email, social media and new platform initiatives. Experience developing content and campaigns for social media, email and other digital platforms preferred.Possesses knowledge of technology and how to apply it to digital marketing. Tech savvy.Adobe Creative Suite experience, especially Photoshop, preferred as well as Microsoft Office.Creative thinker with a basic understanding of how to engage and compel audiences.Experience working in content management systems and has experience working with website content.Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects at once.Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work with staff at all levels.Ability to self-direct and work independently on assigned tasks.Proficient writing skills with understanding of grammar, punctuation, style and brand voice.Understanding of basic graphic design concepts and techniques.Program-development experience preferred.Nonprofit experience preferred.
