Description
Graphic Designer
The August Schell Brewing Company is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team onsite in New Ulm, MN. This position reports to the Marketing Director and will work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to carry out initiatives imperative to the success of our Schells and Grain Belt Brands.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize, design, layout, and produce digital and print designs, point-of-sale displays, and promotional material.Develop graphics and layouts for logos, websites, and products.Comply with brand standards and maintain consistency and individuality for each brand.Adhere to specs, templates, colors, bleeds, etc., across various print production partners.Partner with our local distributor sales manager and customers to design and print signage for the route.Ensure high-quality, professional designs. Using computer software, design detailed or technical illustrations, mockups, and animations (as needed).Provide photography and video services and operate related equipment.Produce/edit video assets for social media and website.Maintain technical competency by researching new technology and changes in the industry.Review proofs and final layouts to ensure the quality and accuracy of the content.Complete special projects as assigned.Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, and regulations, and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.Requirements
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.Exhibit a high level of professionalism and ability to build and foster strong relationships inside. and outside the brewery.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines.Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.Team player who thrives on collaboration but can also work independently.Excellent work ethic and sense of accountability.Attention to detail and strong time management skills are essential.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related major.Minimum of 3 to 5 years related work experience. (experience in the beer industry is a plus)Work experience using Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, desktop publishing, graphics and photo imaging, video creation, and Wordpress.Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of the beer industry.Self-starter with a positive attitude and desire to continuously learn.Physical Ability:
Able to alternate between sitting and standing for an extended period.Ability to climb stairs and ladders and crouch, kneel, and stoop as needed.Carry, move, and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.August Schells Brewing Company is an equal-opportunity employer.
