.The general salary range for this position is $58,000 – 68,000. Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training and education.The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s most effective animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Digital Asset Specialist for the Brand and Visuals department. In this position you will manage our global creative digital asset library to help staff tell the story of the organization’s work and the animals we seek to protect. You will provide staff with assistance in and the appropriate usage of assets. You will also provide external sources, such as the media, with access to our assets to broaden our reach and brand awareness with the public.Responsibilities:Responsible for the management of the organization’s digital asset management system. Oversees the proper organization, discovery, and preservation of creative assets throughout their lifecycle. Increases the organization’s digital asset management capabilities by streamlining operations, optimizing user workflows, upholding governance and metadata standards, and maintaining best practices for digital asset management. Serves as the staff point-of-contact for the digital and media asset management system, providing training and support across the organization;Prepares, executes, and maintains an ongoing strategy for integrating both in-progress and completed design and video assets into a digital asset management system currently only used to manage photographic assets. Aids in the implementation and training of AI tools to help in the search and discovery of these new asset types;Ensures that rights, licensing, and usage information is accurate and current. Oversees the proper metadata tagging of content from various file formats and auditing automated and user-entered metadata. Ensures that all available assets are in alignment with brand standards. Regularly performs system audits and runs reports to track usage metrics to identify areas for improvement. Develops strategies to improve the UX for diverse staff around the globe;Manages the distribution of the organization’s imagery to a wide variety of external sources. Works closely with the Media Relations team to research, curate and provide our best assets to the media through the organization’s portals for breaking news situations, press releases, and other priority initiatives and campaigns;Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assignedQualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in library and information science or related field or equivalent work experience required. Master’s degree preferred;A minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a Digital Asset Specialist, Digital Asset Manager, or similar position required;High-quality knowledge of digital asset management. Expert understanding of taxonomy, metadata, rights management, and creative operations;Clear understanding of brand standards and management. The ability to oversee and evolve brands as organizational goals evolve;Keen eye for the selection of imagery that is in line with our organizational goals and brand standards;Excellent creative thinking skills with the ability to continuously innovate;Expert knowledge of the current trends in digital asset management. Experience working in a Macintosh environment with excellent technical knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office;Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive;Ability to multitask and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments;Ability to exercise judgment;Strong written and verbal communication skills;Attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member in a team environment;Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred.This
