A Technical Artist is the key bridge between artists and engineers, and our client is currently looking for a passionate team member to work closely with a small team to build cutting-edge functional tooling for our content creators on our client's VR platform. Have you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):Partner closely with the engineering and design teams to develop content across a range of devicesImplement runtime logic within a complex real-time environment with performance limitations in mindDevelop broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasks, including diagnosing and fixing bugsQuickly solve issues with cross-functional leadsDesign, manage, and maintain the pipeline from artists and end-users through to deploymentPrototype, profile, and optimize custom shadersMust-Have Skills:Experience with procedural generation in HoudiniExperience with prototyping and gameplay programming in Unity or UnrealExpertise with DCC packages and DCC-to-game engine pipelinesExperience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teamsExperience communicating across team members including engineers and designersExperience in real-time content creation (characters/environments/VFX/animation/lighting)Experience working with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.)Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with Generative AI models and conceptsDeep knowledge of game engines, preferably UnityBeing passionate and informed about emerging technologies and video gamesSelf-motivated, product-thinking mindsetThe target hiring compensation range for this role is $77 to $85.55 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
