SUMMARY

In 2021 Price Chopper/Market 32 merged with Tops Markets and together became subsidiaries of Northeast Grocery, Inc., along with our back-office operation, Northeast Shared Services. We operate supermarkets in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire and are comprised of nearly 300 stores, several warehouse and distribution centers, and approximately 30,000 teammates and associates. Northeast Shared Services provides business services and support to both the Tops and Price Chopper/Market 32 operating companies.

The Marketing Coordinator will support the Marketing & Promotional Strategy team with developing innovative marketing plans to drive desired business results for both Price Chopper-Market 32 and Tops Markets operating companies (OpCos). In collaboration with a variety of internal clients, outside agencies, and trade partners, they will utilize their outstanding organizational skills to assist with implementing successful shopper marketing programs that fulfill OpCo and trade partner objectives. Additionally, they will lead the efforts to grow non-traditional revenue through third-party in-store marketing programs and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Brainstorm new and creative marketing themes in coordination with the marketing strategy team; assist with developing, maintaining and ensuring successful implementation of planning calendars

Assist in the coordination and execution of shopping marketing activities; collaborate with accounting to ensure trade partner reimbursements

Manage third-party vendors for revenue generating in-store marketing and other store services, while continuously exploring and recommending new, non-traditional revenue opportunities

Lead content planning for in-store digital displays, in-store radio and any other content, as assigned

Manage the prize fulfillment process for all promotions and sweepstakes

Facilitate marketing department communications to Operations

Coordinate all college marketing activities in collaboration with store operations

Monitor and share regional and national competitive activity for inspiration on new promotions and marketing initiatives

Develop quarterly and annual B2B marketing plans and collaborate with all functional areas of marketing to execute

Assist the Marketing & Promotional Strategy Team with administrative tasks as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Highly organized and successful at managing multiple projects and shifting priorities

Creative and driven to develop fresh, innovative ideas that break from the status quo to achieve business objectives

Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Curious and excited to discover and take on new challenges

Excels working both independently and as a contributing member to large, cross-functional teams

Demonstrated experience using data and strong analytical skills to inform content creation

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or analytics, Masters preferred.

The disclosed compensation range for this position is applicable within the state the position resides. The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The compensation range is one component of Price Chopper/Market 32 and Northeast Shared Services’ total compensation and benefits package, which includes, 401(k), 401(k) match, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
