In addition to offering innovative streaming services and digital video products, Paramount provides powerful capabilities in production, distribution, and advertising solutions.Paramount believes in creating environments that allow our primary focus to remain on providing entertainment, education and information to our millions of viewers around the world.Paramount has partnered with MediaMKRS for the Content for Change Academy, a talent program that aims to remove barriers to entry for new storytellers, build equity, and invest in the industry’s next generation of leaders from nontraditional pathways, including individuals from community colleges and certification programs, who have been historically marginalized from entry into the entertainment industry.This Academy begins with a virtual introductory bootcamp where participants will gain insight into the Paramount business as well as skills that will equip them to succeed in the Content for Change Academy. Trainees will then be placed in a 6-month full-time placement within areas spanning across Pre-Production, Production, Post Production and Marketing. Trainees will receive one on one mentorship as well as access to an online resource library for career development.Basic Qualifications:Graduate from a media-related training program (such as Reel Works, BRIC Foundation, California Department of Education etc.), a graduate of a 2-year program or equivalent work experienceProper work authorization to be employed within the United States for full length of the program (October-April)Current NYC or LA resident or lives within commuting distance of one of the citiesMust have a flexible schedule to participate in up to 40 hours of training during the one week BootcampMust be available to commit to the program timeline and participate in the program full timeMust be 18 years or older by October 2024Additional Qualifications:Passionate about the entertainment and media industry; passionate about making amazing content that can live on social media, linear television, or the big-screen!Strong attention to detail and highly organizedHighly collaborative, open-minded, feedback-seeking attitude with the ability to pivot as necessaryAbility to work under pressure and communicate conciselyFamiliarity with Photoshop, AVID, and After Effects is a big plusComfortable working with Google Docs, Sheets, MS Word, Excel and MS OutlookProgram Dates:Bootcamp October 7 - October 11, 2024*Placement October 14, 2024 – April 18, 2025** Please note the program dates are subject to change.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThe hourly rate for this position is $20.00.The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
