The Sr. Apparel/Accessories Designer will be responsible for creating product designs that are both cost-effective and innovative.Responsibilities
Translate design direction and fabric/trim selections into original designsCreate original flat sketches based on existing trends and mainstream designsWork with Design Team to create tech packs, ensuring designs accurately translate into development samplesCollaborate with Trend Forecasting Team on seasonal trends and conceptsResearch trends and bring in new ideas through competitive websites and store visitsTrain and mentor Designers by offering constructive criticism and guidanceQualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Fashion Apparel DesignMust have 5+ years of Fashion Design experience in multiple design categoriesMust have strong leadership skillsMust be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Word, and ExcelMust have strong design aesthetic, color sense, and conceptual skillsMust be able to create flat sketches by handComprehensive knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color/print usage, graphics, embellishment layouts, and trim requiredMust be flexible and adapt well to a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environmentMust be a team player, open to taking direction, and able to work well under pressure
