DESCRIPTION Shakespeare Theatre Company, in downtown Washington DC, seeks an Audio/Visual Supervisor. This position oversees all Audio/Visual operations in the two theatre facilities at STC and supervises three full-time employees in the department. STC operates with a season of subscription shows, presentations, and a wide variety of rentals. Day to day, the A/V Supervisor will maintain budgets and advise on long-term department fiscal plans; establish and oversee staff and overhire schedules; supervise all equipment maintenance and installation; work closely with guest designers/composers; coordinate sound equipment and backline purchases and rentals; and coordinate audio, projections, and video production for the theatre's internal departments. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $80,000 - $84,000.

The ability to work collaboratively with other departments is essential. Bachelor’s degree in theatre or sound technology or equivalent technical experience, 3-5 years’ professional sound/video work, and some supervisory experience required. Some evenings and weekends required.
