Job Title: Director of Video & Network Production The Director of Video & Network Production will support the College of Charleston Athletics Department, its student-athletes, and fans, primarily focusing on delivering world-class broadcast content and programming while producing creative and engaging video operations. The position will produce original video content for the Charleston Sports Network, FloSports, regional and national television, and other official department channels and opportunities.

Experience, qualification, and soft skills, have you got everything required to succeed in this opportunity Find out below.The incumbent will work with local, regional, and national TV affiliates and the College of Charleston External team to enhance the CofC brand, support revenue generation, boost fan engagement, and tell the story of CofC Athletics and its student-athletes.This position will also oversee the Assistant Director of Multimedia, two additional Multimedia staff positions & the Charleston Network staff & student workers. The position reports directly to the Associate Athletics Director for External Operations.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in broadcast journalism, video production, Radio/TV/Film, communications, or another related field preferred. Minimum of four years’ experience in a broadcast production and/or creative video department setting. Relevant undergraduate experience in the field of professional or collegiate athletics is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with digital video hardware (e.g., Newtek, Ross, Canon, Daktronics), software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects, Motion Array, and Photoshop or equivalent programs).Experience working on live productions, serving in director and/or producer role.Extensive knowledge of digital media landscape, both technical and creative.Strong technical skills and ability to leverage emerging media.Ability to operate, maintain and teach others on necessary broadcast equipment, including but not limited to TriCaster, replay system, LiveText, AJT, camera operation, etc.Additional Comments Regarding Position

Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines are preferred.Strong technical experience related to broadcast engineering & video board operations is preferred.Strong quantitative & analytical ability.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work regular and extended hours required.Must understand NCAA rules and regulations.Possible overnight travel.Responsibilities

Oversight of the Charleston Sports Network streaming schedule and execution of approximately 115 live events per year.Interface with the CAA, FloSports, and other TV entities to coordinate and deliver broadcast content.Manage production of all creative video content, including but not limited to video board content, pre-season content, event previews, feature stories, highlight packages, season-in-review videos, and other short or long-form content for social media platforms.Maintain and engineer the Charleston Sports Network video systems.Oversight of video board content & creation at TD Arena & Patriots Point.Assist in the planning of the ESPN Charleston Classic and other TD Arena athletic events (i.e., Pep rally, commencement, etc.).Purchase necessary video equipment and perform routine maintenance on all video systems.Provide support on special projects in conjunction with the Asst. AD for Facilities and Event Operations and/or Director of Athletics.Oversee on-site replay & DVSport replay operations, including set-up & breakdown, for the sports that CofC supports for replay (MBB, WBB, Baseball, VB, etc.).Coordinate with campus IT and 3rd party vendors to ensure equipment and systems meet the end-user needs.Hire, train, and schedule Charleston Sports Network staff and/or other gameday personnel to effectively run all events.Manage video archives and coordinate delivery of all video footage to news outlets & sports networks upon request.Assist in the fulfillment of sponsorship agreements on live TV broadcasts & other in-venue video platforms.Manage complimentary FloSports accounts for the department & communicate with CAA & FloSports staff, as needed.Special Instructions to Applicants Please complete the application to include all current and previous work history and education.
