Make Ready Designer

Actalent Engineering is seeking an experienced Make Ready Designer to support a large utility engineering firm in their distribution and telecommunications projects. This is a long-term opportunity to join the team internally after a 6 month contract-to-hire period with health benefits available the first month of employment. This team will start out working remotely until the team's local office has been secured in the Columbus, OH area.
Job Description
Project work will focus on 3rd party make ready design with accurate and efficient production of engineering deliverables and maintaining adequate job flow while managing multiple projects. Daily duties will consist of creating remedies to conflicts on existing distribution poles with a verified pole loading analysis pertaining to the carrier’s requested attachments, creating cost estimates, and providing a construction sketch to reflect the work. Will be expected to utilize and understand client-specific telecommunications equipment and their usage.
Hard Skills
Prior Distribution Design Experience in DDS
Prior use of STORMS Software
Associates or bachelors in engineering or related field
