RentSpree is the leading provider of rental software in the U.S. that helps connect renters, real estate agents, and landlords to simplify the entire rental process, from listing to lease. Position Overview

As Principal Product Designer, you will help define and execute our product design standards for the rest of the design team, influencing other product team partners, elevate the quality, and use data to inform the direction. Your efforts will ensure our product is seen as a market leader, providing outstanding customer experiences and driving business results. You will be hands-on in leading design strategies and initiatives that drive product adoption, as well as collaborate across teams to achieve business growth. We need someone with strong leadership skills, deep product insights, and robust data-driven decision making abilities.

Your strategic thinking and ability to positively influence teams will be crucial in elevating our product design initiatives. If you have a track record of designing and launching scalable, accessible, complex solutions in an agile environment, we want to talk to you. You will report directly to the Chief Experience Officer.

About the Team

The Product Design/UX department plays an integral part in creating the world-class product that sets our company apart from the others in the market. We gather user insights, conduct interviews, ideate, design, and review user feedback to continuously improve our product, all the while caring about our team members' growth.

RentSpree's Product Design and Research team is looking for a Principal Product/UX Designer with a passion for improving customer experience and driving impact for a product used by millions of people. You will advocate for our customers and evangelize your team's design solutions to leadership, stakeholders, and team members. Your most important mission is to ensure that we're doing what's right for the customer. We work on projects ranging from rapid iterative UX Design on tactical projects, to major strategic efforts that rethink how we think about our product. We work together with internal stakeholders to create user experiences that help, surprise, and delight.

You will advocate for our customers and evangelize your team's findings to senior executives, stakeholders, and team members. We need someone who sees around corners, across the entire suite of customer journeys and past organizational boundaries, leveraging healthy disruption in order to deliver a world-class product.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate and work cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering teams from design concept to design solution, setting UX guidelines, influencing a team creating assets, and ensure highest quality all the way to marketCreate the vision for developing, communicating, and implementing the user experience and associated UI framework, patterns, and assets on a range of products; follow through with the processes and tactics to fulfill the visionUse various inputs to identify and define exciting new concepts, opportunities, and customer problemsInspire and mentor a variety of disciplines on the UX teamWork strategically with other executives and team members across the organizationMinimum Requirements

10+ years professional experience as product designer / user experience designer; experience in human computer interactionA strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverablesBachelor's Degree in digital design, graphic design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experienceMust be able to work quickly and efficiently in FigmaPreferred Qualifications

Experience shipping large-scale productsExperience working across teams to synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, and marketingExcellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organizationExperience with working in a fast-paced software development environmentDesire for innovation, balanced with business needs and customer expectationsCommitment to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledgeWe know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can sometimes get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates. This role is
