Tesla Gigafactory Texas is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Designer to join the Fire Protection team in Austin, TX. The Gigafactory Texas design team strives to create the factory of the future by overseeing the design of cutting-edge large-scale equipment and utility systems in support of highly innovating manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
Work with the Fire Protection Team to prepare designs, hydraulic calculations, stocklisting and installation drawingsManage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlinesProduce 3D construction drawings and 3D models for different types of fire suppression and life safety systems using Revit, HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and NavisworksLead in-field design validation and preparation of as-built drawingsMaintain project drawing files, associated records and documentationDevelop Revit families, standard details, and manage BIM filesRequirements
Minimum 2 years of fire sprinkler design experienceNICET certification for water-based fire protection systems layoutProficiency in 3D software, such as Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks and BluebeamExperience with HydraCad, HydraCalc, or other sprinkler design programsCompensation and BenefitsBenefits
