Whatever your role, working for WGU gives you a part to play in helping students graduate, creating a better tomorrow for themselves and their families.About the Role:The Marketing Specialist II will work on the partnerships and audiences marketing team to help build marketing strategies for audiences and execute those strategies while also being a sound voice of marketing to guide and influence non-marketers across the university. The work will also include activities such as writing marketing briefs and marketing performance reports, reviewing requests for asset development, and interacting with our creative department to bring ideas to life for our internal team members to use. This person will work both independently and in collaboration with their immediate team and other marketing teams, university program leaders, and strategic relations staff to establish new campaigns, track and report results, assist with resource management, collaborate on audience research initiatives, perform data analysis, interpret reporting and market research results, and apply findings to marketing strategy.Location :This position requires you to be located in or around Salt Lake City, UTwith the ability to work a hybrid schedule in office 1 day a week at our headquarters:

4001 South 700 East Salt Lake City, UT 84107 .What You'll Do:Collaborate with marketing leaders across the university to develop, implement, and track marketing plans targeted to specific audiences.Review requests from people across the university to ensure the requests are in line with the WGU brand and are audience appropriate.Provide thoughtful, logical marketing insights to teams across the university in order to help them bring their ideas to life.Collaborate with internal and external research teams to further improve our understanding of key audiences.Help execute the marketing strategies identified by leadership.Provide written and verbal feedback to a wide range of stakeholders across the universityWork with a high level of quality and professionalism in all communications.Develop and implement procedures, processes, and checklists in support of programs, markets, partnerships, and research initiatives in collaboration with key university project managers.Create plans, track results, and measure progress.Develop marketing strategies and integrated plans in support of program and partnership objectives.Contribute to program and service messaging under the guidance of marketing leadership.Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities You'll Need to be Successful:Strong qualitative abilities to interpret audience insights and turn those into actionable marketing collateral or copy.Adept with spreadsheets, databases, analytics, and statistical data.Strength in strategic analysis with the ability to review data and research findings, identify significant trends, identify implications and opportunities, and then craft marketing initiatives to address the issue.Excellent written and verbal skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience OR and advanced degree without experience.Why Join WGU?You will be part of a growing, diverse, inclusive workforce, committed to creating pathways to a better life for our students by expanding access to education for everyone.We provide comprehensive dental, vision, and medical benefits, with paid time off, parental leave, and inclusive family forming benefits.We offer generous retirement and HSA company contributions.You will also have opportunity for continuous learning!
