Please refer to the criteria listed in 5 CFR 731.202 to understand the Public Trust suitability requirements.Job SummaryWe are looking for iOS developers who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of mobile applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablets. This position will apply advanced mobile development techniques to solve complex decision problems. The candidate will work in a team to develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality while keeping up to date with terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile apps. Essentially, contributing to the design, testing, releasing and support of the application. This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).Years Of Relevant ExperienceThe position requires 5-10 equivalent years of experience in mobile web development.Required SkillsExperience with Asp.net Core, Asp.net Framework, EntityFramework, C#, and MAUIExperience in mobile iOS development with programming language: MAUI for iOS for TAP app.Experience developing applications in an Oracle/SL environmentAbility to work in a SAFe agile team environmentFamiliarity with OOP design principlesEssential Job FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.Work in team environment with team of web developers and codersSoftware developer/computer programmer responsible to develop and test new logging application – Tech Ops Activity Portal (TAP app) mobile iOS applicationDevelop role on SAFE agile team following SAFe agile framework methodologyProvide database support as needed to integrate the applications with the database systemProvide field support for software applicationsTroubleshoot, research, resolve application problemsProvide support for deployment and training of the applicationDemonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android marketExperience with third-party libraries and APIsSuperior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitudeStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to interpret and follow technical plansIdentify and plan for new featuresDevelop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionalitySuggest and implement new mobile products, applications and protocolsRemain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile appsWork closely with colleagues to constantly innovate app functionality and designUse and adapt existing web applications for appsWrite unit and UI tests to identify malfunctionsDeveloping new features and user interfaces from wireframe modelsEnsuring the best performance and user experience of the applicationFixing bugs and performance problemsWriting clean, readable, and testable codeCooperating with back-end developers, designers, and the rest of the team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutionsEducation RequirementsBachelor’s degree required.
