Because we were established for the purpose of public service and not for profit, we measure our success in the impact of our service.SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION :This position is for a Senior Analyst and Writer to support the Washington Headquarters Service (WHS) Facilities Services Directorate (FSD). This position will work directly with the Acting Director, and Deputy Director FSD in the execution of projects that support the FSD mission to provide comprehensive lifecycle facility management and supporting the day-to-day working environment for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, the Military Departments Congress and the White House in the National Capital Region and beyond. Successful candidates will provide thorough analysis on a broad range of topics and have the demonstrated ability to research, organize, write, and edit staff packages. This position requires familiarity with DoD organization and the ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving direction.Specific duties and experience include:Review content of technical and professional written material including letters, memoranda, reports, guidance documents, issuances, etc.Demonstrated ability to identify root cause problems and recommend innovative solutions.Synthesize large amounts of data from disparate stakeholders.Adjudicate dissimilar information and content that align to a fixed position and identify common threads and connections.Utilize and implement established requirements in the DoD Guides and Manuals on written correspondence.Independently author draft decision and directive memoranda for senior leadership signature.Demonstrated experience as an author, editor, and analyst for official documents and written packages (memos, papers, strategies, etc.) with the ability to logically present information.Demonstrated experience with managing adherence to a style guide for all branding and messaging. Ability to lead revision and updates in accordance with the DoD style guide.Use broad experience and technical knowledge to propose solutions to complex business problems.Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMaster’s degree in a relevant field of study plus at least 12 years’ experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DoD.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.Requirements:Active Top Secret clearance required at date of hire.Ability to provide on-site support in the Pentagon, Monday through Friday, during core business hours of 8am-4pm. Potential for telework after an appropriate amount of time supporting the office and upon client approval.Comprehensive familiarity with DoD and OSD policy, priorities, and strategy.Prior experience working with and/or supporting senior-level officials and knowledge of the structure and missions of the OSD and the Components.Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to translate highly technical information into plain language for effective communication with DoD and other USG staff in the performance of all duties, tasks, and services.Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.Professionalism, tact, and experience working with senior DoD leadership.
