Job Description:

Overview:

The team is a globally distributed team aiming to bring the power of the Public Cloud to the unique challenges of public sector workloads that must adhere to government compliance & security requirements.

We are looking for a Senior UX designer to join us on the journey of delivering the building blocks for digitally transforming sovereign workloads across the world.

The role:

You've worked on multiple enterprise solutions and are interested in learning more about Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilots, and Power Platform.

You're experienced with component-based design practices and contributing to multi-product design systems.

You enjoy working with multi-disciplinary teams and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

You're a tireless advocate for users and excited about creating and iterating on product designs.

You thrive in the face of ambiguity, seeing it as an opportunity for innovation and learning.

What You Will Do:

Deliver thorough, actionable, accessible, and intuitive designs.

Produce design visualizations: storyboards, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and vision videos.

Create, assess, and validate design solutions based on user research input.

Work closely with content designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers.

Coordinate testing efforts with user researchers and incorporate insights into design efforts.

Support Engineering with design implementation and adapt designs as needed.

Scope and estimate efforts accurately and prioritize tasks independently.

Identify new opportunities and generate innovative ideas to improve our products.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, or equivalent experience.

7+ years of experience designing end-to-end enterprise scale cloud software or services.

2+ years' experience working with and contributing to comprehensive design systems.

Proven track record of solving complex design issues and shipping relevant experiences.

Experience in balancing user goals, business requirements, and technical constraints.

Proficiency in modern component-based design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Ability to create polished UX documentation, functional specs, prototypes, and mockups.

Outstanding storytelling ability to generate empathy and clarity.

Even better:

3+ years of experience designing cloud services on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

1+ years of experience designing solutions that use Generative AI or Large Language Models.

Candidate Requirements:

Years of Experience Required: 7+ overall years of experience.

Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in product design or equivalent experience.

Disqualifiers: Only has B to C experience, worked with a small team, has only had short products.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required:

Deliver thorough, actionable, accessible, and intuitive designs | 7+ years of experience

Produce design visualizations | 7+ years of experience

Collaborate closely with content designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers | 7+ years of experience
