What you'll be doing...

The Consumer Growth Marketing organization is responsible for creating marketing strategies driven by consumer, industry, and performance insights. Spearheading acquisition and product marketing strategy, this organization leads cross-functional work across the Verizon Consumer Group. In collaboration, holistic strategies that consider the entire business are created to achieve shared goals and drive growth. The Long-term Strategy Planning Sr. Manager will report directly to the AVP of Acquisition and Product Marketing, and work closely with leaders across the organization and VCG to align marketing strategies that drive demand and growth.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop long-term marketing acquisition strategy to guide and unite cross-functional business stakeholders against top priorities and one cohesive strategic approach.Thematic Roadmap Development: Develop a strategic, insights-driven thematic approach recognizing cultural moments in time and consumer mindset to build growth of equity in the marketplace, showcasing our leadership in differentiation.Conceptualize Macro Themes and Ways In: Synthesize market analysis, data, insights and research to build a macro thematic roadmap, elevating key initiatives in contextually relevant ways to drive consideration, demand, and growth.Thematic Roadmap Socialization & Maintenance: Maintain the thematic roadmap daily, create alternate views for quarterly/annual readouts and executive requests, ensuring it remains current and relevant.Long-term Strategic Planning: Serve as the strategic advisor to support business strategy in long-term growth planning and formation of the marketing acquisition narrative, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.Research Oversight/Organization Liaison: Oversee and coordinate research requests for the organization, liaising with other organizations to ensure alignment and execution.Data and Insights: Annually refresh data and insights to ensure the strategy and vision remain aligned with market trends and dynamics. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration.Inter-Organization Ways of Working: Coordinate with Integrated Marketing to enhance processes to become more efficient and expeditious.Cross-Functional Leadership: Influence execution through cross-functional collaboration, establishing and maintaining effective ways of working across VCG.Executive Support: Support leadership in building executive decks, providing strategic input and ensuring the thematic strategy is effectively communicated.Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and nimbleness to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.

What we're looking for...You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.Six or more years of relevant marketing experience.Even better if you have one or more of the following:Master's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Research or Engineering Management.Experience leading and managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously.The ability to work well with others in large and varied teams.Highly effective communication and presentation skills.An understanding of trends and key business drivers.Presented findings and insights tailored to select audiences (up to and including executives).Experience working with marketing research, research strategy, or consumer research methodologies.The ability to analyze what's important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities.The ability to drive work forward with ambiguity and adaptive change.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $130,000.00 and $241,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more.
