Envisionit, an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Chicago, is seeking a
Contract UX Designer
with an expertise in understanding user behavior and needs and technical needs, mapping out user journeys, and creating intuitive user flows and streamlined experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to determine hierarchy and develop website components through detailed wireframes, ultimately driving traffic and conversions through strategic analysis of user behavior. This role is crucial in helping us create the best responsive website user experience possible. This need is for project-based work, both long and short-term.

The role:
Develop user experience approach
Create user experience approach rooted in data and consumer behavior analysis, aligned with website objectives and measurable business goals.Conduct comprehensive research on customers, competitors, and products to inform UX strategies.
User journey and flow mapping
Map out detailed user journeys and create intuitive user flows in collaboration with UI designers, content writers, developers to ensure a seamless user experience.Develop personas and user stories (as needed) to inform and guide the user experience design process.
Wireframing and prototyping
Communicate the user experience through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.Develop a clear hierarchy and website components through detailed wireframes that demonstrate site organization and user interaction.
Collaboration and communication
Work closely with stakeholders to identify requirements and translate them into effective UX solutions.Collaborate with the agency team, including creative and development, to ensure product quality and maximize customer success.
What we're looking for:
A solid working knowledge of UX design principles and user interface design4+ years of UX design experience for marketing websites (preferably within an agency setting)Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, CrazyEgg, and Lucky OrangeProficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe XDThe ability to work with a cross-functional agency team on behalf of our clientsAvailability during business hours M - F, 9am - 5pm CST for calls and meetings as needed, and the expectation to respond to emails/Slack messages promptly, during said hours
