Job Title: Designer III (Hybrid/3 days onsite)Location: Shreveport, LA
Job Overview:
Expect travel to field sites at least once a month. Travel will be within 3 hours of Shreveport office and will be day trips.The primary function of a Designer III is to the creation of drawing packages under the direction of Engineering for Natural gas compressor stations and pipelines.This role will have a Multi-Discipline responsibility but will be heavily focused on Piping/Mechanical, and will focus largely on Well connects and small facilities(Compressor station) modifications.Responsibilities:
Creation and maintenance of:Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)Facility Plot PlansPiping PlansBills of MaterialsPiping IsometricsElectrical Hazardous Area Classification (EAC) Plans3D CadWorx modelsSkills:
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.Knowledge of the operational & field environment for work practices and conditions, in process plants, gathering systems, pipelines, and chemical plants.Thorough knowledge and ability in the use of AutoCAD.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, teams, etc.) and other administrative applications.Strong analytical, risk assessment and problem solving skillsThis position requires regular travel (up to 30%) to local field locations (3hrs away from office) and irregular travel (up to 10%) to remote field locations (3hrs away from office).Must be able to handle a diverse range of multiple, complex assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgmentFamiliarity with ASME B31.8 & B31.3, API 6D, ASME B16.5 & B16.9Education/Experience:
5-7 years experience in the oil and gas industry required.5-7 years of Autocad experience3+ years of Cadworx Plant Experience1+ years of Cadworx P&ID experience
