Position Overview:

Overall responsibility for total revenue and, implementation and results including group and transient rooms, group food and beverage, meeting room rental, and local catering, assist with outlet marketing and other revenues. Strategies will include market mix, direct sales and marketing. Maximize profitability for the hotel and outstanding quality service for customers. Accountable for market and revenue performance, as well as budget, forecast, and target goals. Works directly with Director of Revenue and GM/VP on yield strategies and pricing status. Participates in total hotel management as a member of the hotel Executive Committee

Qualifications and Physical/Mental Requirements:

Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values.Results oriented with an emphasis on both individual and team accountability.Has led a diverse staff, and is experienced in managing an organized labor work force.Minimum of five years of sales and marketing leadership in similar sized operationSpecific Position Requirements:

Provides an issue free work environment through motivation, support, empowerment and development for all personnel.Proactively strives to build positive working relationships through teamwork and clear communication resulting in win/win decisions.Ensures that all decisions and resulting actions are aligned with the Affinia policy of 100% guest satisfaction producing a high level of service.Has a strategic perspective by continuously developing our brand and integrating it into every aspect of the guest experience.Proactively participates in the comprehensive sales and marketing efforts.Performs the role of industry spokesperson and representative for Affinia.Achieve and exceed budgeted room nights and revenue goals annuallyDirect and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotelAnalyze and estimate total value of critical pieces of business/accounts and negotiate best situation for achieving optimum revenue for the hotel while ensuring excellent customer serviceAssist Sales and Catering Managers in obtaining necessary customer information and closing business as requiredActively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetingsWrite and execute annual marketing plans in order to maintain as well as uncover new businessDevelop rates, group ceilings and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix managementWorks with Revenue Manager and GM to ensure accuracy for forecasting of revenuesRecruit, direct, manage, train and counsel sales staff. Oversee departmental matters as they relate to federal, state and local employment and civil rights lawsConduct/attend daily business review meetings, weekly strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings required/requested.Manage/direct all local advertising, public relations and promotional activitiesComply with Affinia brand standards and required approval processComplete monthly sales activity reports and other required Trump Hotel Collection reportsPerform other related duties as requestedPosition Responsibilities:

Participate as team player with other key executive membersProfessionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and eventsProvide constructive feedback to all departments and to hotel sales and marketing staffBe a leader and role model to all employeesRequires good communication skills both verbal and writtenMust be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionMust possess leadership skillsMust possess computer skills, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities requiredExtensive knowledge of sales skillsAble to access/evaluate employees performance fairlyExtensive knowledge of revenue managementAbility to recruit, supervise, train, motivate and retain multiple levels of managersKnowledge of hotel and competitive marketAbility to analyze data and establish appropriate action plansReading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language (level to be customized per position).The ability to follow payroll and key sign out procedures.The ability to offer any assistance possible to guests.The ability to respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.Comply with TIHTC work rules and standards per the associate handbook and as directed by management.Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and managementLicense/Certificate

Visual One/Agilysys Knowledge.Bachelor’s DegreeHospitality Degree.
