POSITION SUMMARYThe Habitat Store Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and managing a strong marketing program to include direct marketing and social media.

The Marketing Coordinator is expected to perform all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner to achieve a safe and positive customer experience with an eye toward building the Store's brand reputation, productivity and profitability.

The position requires regular Saturday work hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop creative solutions for The Habitat Store's internal and external marketing needs.

Social media management - Facebook and Instagram via Meta Business Manager, Facebook Ad Manager, Google Platform, Ad Words, Yelp Business Promotions, YouTube

Content Creation - basic graphic design using Canva, basic video editing, basic photo editing

Brand Management - ensure the Habitat Store meets all branding guidelines

Monthly Email blasts using Constant Contact and monthly printed newsletter

Event marketing and management - scheduling, budgeting and implementation

Website Maintenance - maintain The Habitat Store's presence on Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville's website to keep communications up to date and promote the store

Work with store team on messaging, schedules, donor and Habitat Store priorities

Reporting - Ability to prepare and present monthly marketing results and proposals

Be knowledgeable about Habitat's mission and convey it effectively to customers, donors, and volunteers

Adhere to safety procedures and ensure safe environment for customers, donors, staff, and volunteers

Adhere to all store policies and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager or Operations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The Marketing Coordinator is a results-driven individual with at least two (2) years of experience in marketing and one (1) years experience in website management. The ideal candidate will have/be:

Knowledge and proficiency with Meta Business Suite, Canva, Photoshop, Google Platform and Constant Contact

Great communication abilities, including written and verbal communication

Patience, empathy and professionalism

Good problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

High level of creative and strategic thinking

Effective time management and prioritization

Ability to work in a team setting

In-depth understanding of the company's products or services

Ability to work well with volunteers and supervise them effectively

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of standing

Must be able to maneuver large and heavy items with appropriate equipment

Minimally must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance

About the OrganizationHabitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville ('Habitat') is a non-profit organization that brings peopletogether to build and rebuild homes and communities, so that everyone in Charlottesville can have a decent place to live. We are deeply committed to working in respectful partnership with community members to support healthy neighborhoods.

Habitat is currently redeveloping the Southwood Mobile Home Park, a 120-acre, 1,300 resident community located in Albemarle County. We are working side by side with residents to plan for a mixed-use, mixed-income community of more than 1,000 new homes and businesses. When complete, Southwood will be a national model of compassionate and inclusive resident-led redevelopment. At Southwood and elsewhere, Habitat rebuilds communities via a long-term Asset Based Community Development approach, using the skills and talents of community members to help them achieve their own vision.
