We are looking for a skilled Design Drafter to join our dynamic engineering team at the Timken Aurora Bearing facility. As a Design Drafter, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our high-precision bearings. Working closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and specifications based on engineering designs and customer requirements.

Design Drafter Essential Responsibilities:

Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create 2D and 3D drawings of bearing components and assemblies.Collaborate with engineers to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings.Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and revise drawings based on engineering change orders (ECOs).Ensure designs comply with industry standards and specifications.Assist in prototype development and testing as needed.Participate in design reviews and provide input for continuous improvement initiatives.Review sales orders for engineering requirements and evaluate customer quote requests.Design Drafter Skills & Experience:

Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology or related field is preferred.At least a year of experience as a Design Drafter in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and experience with PDM/PLM systems.Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Benefits:
