Overview

Provide multimedia technician support for all Audio, Visual, and Video Teleconferencing Systems for day-to-day operations, maintenance, upgrades, projects, and system outages.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support for VTC and multimedia system issuesMonitor VTC network performance and conduct daily system/equipment checks to ensure connectivity and effective operationSchedule, coordinate and manage VTC resources, conference rooms, calendars and bridges; and set-up, establish and connect secure and non-secure VTC calls and bride connectionsAssist local facilitators with conference room with set-up VTC and operations; and provide training and technical assistance in troubleshooting equipment and connections as requiredProvide on-site technical support during DV-hosted (O-6 and above) VTCsInstall, configure, upgrade and maintain VTC suites, desktop VTCs, and audio/visual systems and equipmentMonitor and control VTC performance, utilization and capacity to ensure optimal system performance, availability, serviceability and recoverability, and report vulnerabilities or deficiencies to government technical representativesEvaluate new requirements, conduct site surveys, research and recommend solutions; and plan, engineer, design and integrate approved solutionsFormulate strategies, develop plans and prepare technical documentation for the integration of new VTC technologies into existing infrastructureEvaluate existing infrastructure, research current technologies/solutions; and provide hardware/software upgrade and replacement recommendations for end-of-life/end-of-support COTS products to government technical representatives.Recommend network design changes/enhancements for improved system availability and performanceAssist with tracking and management of COTS licenses, warranties, service level agreements renewals for VTC and multimedia systems equipment and software.Support on-demand and ad-hoc multimedia requirementsDevelop and maintain up-to-date VTC and multimedia systems and architecture engineering, installation, configuration baseline and accreditation drawings, diagrams and documentationUpdate and publish system diagrams and drawings semi-annually or as directed by the governmentDevelop and submit a VTC/Multimedia Systems Monthly Status ReportsQualifications

DoDM 8140 IAT Level 2 or higher Must have functional knowledge of a variety of IT systemsCisco Collaboration or equivalent certificationAssociate's degree or 2 years of experienceMust have an active Secret clearance or above
