Who is the Marketing Research Analyst?

The Marketing Research Analyst freelancer supports the full-time research team as needed, aiding in key research activities such as:

methodologydesigning, developing, and testing instrumentationdata collectionanalysis and reportingYou possess an unquenchable passion for learning and understanding why consumers behave the way that they do. You have a significant level understanding of research methodologies and relevant data analysis techniques. You want to learn more about marketing research and digital marketing. You are a self-starter that can organize details and help carry projects across the finish line working independently or collaboratively as a team.

In this position, you will assist with multiple research projects, working together with members of the research+ strategy team to distill key findings into actionable insights and executable strategy.

In this role, you can expect to:

Assist with recruitment strategies for sourcing study participantsRecruit for studies via telephone, email, or public postingsVet/screen research participantsContribute to the creation of appropriate instrumentation and protocolsAssist with the collection of research data (e.g., focus groups, UX testing, surveys)Support with dissemination of research participation incentivesSupport with transcription of audio files from interview sessionsPerform hematic coding of qualitative dataDistill raw qualitative and quantitative data into key insightsPerform competitor audits by analyzing landscape content, web functionality, digital performanceShare key insights along the research process with internal and external stakeholdersComplete ad-hoc research inquiries as requestedAnalyze heatmaps and user recordingsAnalyze user testing responsesPartner with strategy team to inform appropriate consumer marketing effortsAssist with the presentation of research to clientsWhat do You Need?

Bachelor's degree with coursework in behavioral research (or equivalent work experience)3 plus years of experienceInterest in behavioral research and a passion for understanding consumer behaviorFoundational understanding of research methods and descriptive statistical analysisFoundational understanding of thematic codingStrong analytical skills and excellent attention to detailComfort supporting multiple projects and prioritizing time and working flexibly/independentlyComfort proactively seeking guidance and receiving and implementing feedbackSkilled at pulling actionable insights from multiple inputs and presenting insights and recommendations to internal/external stakeholdersProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
