Role summary: Manages delivery of assigned scope of publications. Performs day-to-day activities needed to produce materials manually or via automated systems. Updates, populates and adjusts templates to support clients' needs.

Works independently on standardized/recurring assignments and under the direct supervision of more senior staff on complex projects and tasks.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
  • Manages delivery of assigned publications, such as Books and QAR (Quarterly Attribution Report) publications
    • Ensures SLA timelines, quality levels and compliance expectations are met for production of standard and custom materials
    • Updates and creates standard and custom materials in partnership with senior publishing specialists and leads to meet client needs
      • Responsible for meeting the design, formatting, brand and quality standards to be delivered from sales to the end client
      • Integrates new content into existing design, utilizing basic design tools and PowerPoint
      • May ensure accuracy of data feeds to variable data templates and/or compilation of exhibits into client presentations
      • May help to build compelling charts and infographics to bring investment concepts and ideas to life
    • Applies legal and compliance standards as prescribed by senior specialists and leads, proofing team and legal
    • Helps with data pulls, creation of charts and visuals, incorporation of narrative and self-QA of publications
    • Should work to stay up to date with investment product and underlying data knowledge to update and deliver requested publication deliverables
    • Escalates and shares any SLA or quality issues with senior specialists and/or leadership
  • Responsible for execution of the quarterly optimization process for assigned publications; ensures business SLAs are met
    • Generates, updates and submits modules for recordkeeping
  • Identifies, recommends and helps establish publication process improvements; works to continuously improve and refine production processes, thereby driving faster speed-to-market and lower error rates
  • Becomes a subject matter expert in their assigned line of business/asset class
    • Trains/oversees publishing specialist contractors/contingent workers
    • Ensures contractors are fully trained on the items they'll be covering and help oversee their work
    • Creates and maintains job aids for the various materials and processes owned by the team
    • Continues to upskill and develop deeper process and product knowledge, as well as role-based training
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.


Skills/qualifications:
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions
  • Demonstrates ability to plan processes and work for a group or team to assure work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in working with high volumes of data and ensuring data is properly pulled and input into templates.
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of graphic design concepts and ability to apply it to work assignments.
  • Demonstrates skills with PowerPoint and Excel. Charting skills are a plus.
  • Background in finance and understanding of financial concepts a plus.
  • Comfort managing ambiguity and solving problems of moderate complexity.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking skills.


Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $70,160-$112,256

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
