JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a motion graphics designer with a passion for social media to join our digital content team! This role will be responsible for creating state of the art motion graphics for all Pacers Sports & Entertainment brands, including the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Mad Ants (G League), Pacers Gaming (2K League), Gainbridge Fieldhouse and more.
The Motion Graphics Designer will create high-end 2D and 3D motion graphics, as well as static graphics, for distribution across all digital platforms, as well as in-arena and TV. An ideal candidate has a high-powered creative mind and strong technical understanding of the space.
Being a strong, clear communicator is vital to success in this role. Because this role will work across numerous properties, having an understanding of not only basketball, but entertainment at large, is important. This position will be well-supported by a creative team composed of video producers, social content producers, photographers, and digital marketers.
We are looking for someone with a strong creative eye to elevate content with motion and visual effects, and who is excited to produce graphics across every brand in our organization. The role will work highly cross-functionally with our Brand Marketing, Game Operations, Corporate Partnerships, Community Engagement, and Ticketing teams, among others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIESLead in the creation of motion and static graphics across Pacers Sports & Entertainment social media platformsProvide creative ideas and concepts and see those ideas from ideation through execution.Solid understanding of 3D and 2D Motion Design techniques.Strong knowledge working with Adobe Creative Cloud, with an emphasis on After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop & Illustrator.Understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategiesAbility to produce engaging original designs and work with existing designs.Maintain brand consistency and support brand strategy throughout all content and executions.Collaborate and support both the digital and creative teams, as well as provide support across Pacers Sports & Entertainment.Monitor and communicate the latest motion graphics & design trends to keep Pacers Sports & Entertainment cutting edge.Other duties and projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 0-3 years of professional content/marketing experience, and/or a combination of graduate level education (i.e., MBA) and experience. Strong preference toward candidates with experience in the sports and entertainment environment.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
This position requires the employee to be proficient in HTML and how it relates to email marketing. It requires some experience with CRM software, basic knowledge of Photoshop, knowledge of Internet laws and regulations like CAN-SPAM and COPPA. It requires knowledge of the guidelines set by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). It requires knowledge of social media sites, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other emerging channels. An interest in emerging platforms and technologies is necessary for success in this position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports. Ability to write reports and correspondence with extremely high accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to communicate and sell ideas to peers and executives. Ability to create and deliver presentations to all levels of employees and upper management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply mathematical operations to develop ROI analyses and present reports.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations.
