Position Summary
This position reports to the COO and is responsible for managing all aspects of marketing and business development area operations. This position’s primary focus is to strategize, develop, plan and implement marketing and business development goals to support and exceed the Credit Union’s strategic sales and service objectives.
In a In addition, the Director of Marketing is responsible for driving a wide range of marketing and business development initiatives including: the member experience, branding, internal campaigns and events, e-commerce, championing new product development and launches, and the management of affinity relationships, credit union website, marketing research, social media, promotion development and execution, community involvement and demographic development and market segmentation.
The annual salary range for this position is $130,339-$163,000
The salary ranges for positions are based on current market industry studies as well as job evaluations. During the offer phase Management will determine the appropriate compensation within the compensation range based on experience, education and internal equity.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing Management preferred and/or seven or more years of equivalent experience in digital marketing and/or advertising preferably in the financial services industry and experience with e-commerce.Demonstrated skills in building strong positive account relationships. Ability to manage vendors and vendor relationships to provide quality services to our members and associates.Five or more years experience in management, with proven experience in coaching, counseling, directing, leading, organizing and implementing of performance goals.Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, including creative writing skills. Demonstrated outstanding communication skills with proven ability to synthesize input from various sources and stakeholders, and clearly communicate assessment and next steps.Ability to lead, plan, organize self, and staff to meet the established strategic direction, expectations, and goals.Knowledge and demonstrated experience with search engine optimization techniques.Knowledge and demonstrated experience with social media management tools. Ability to manage database marketing and marketing automation software to improve the effectiveness of direct mail, email, social media, e-commerce, and other digital channels in addition to traditional marketing methods.Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective needs-based sales.Strong time management and organizational skills to rapidly adapt and respond to unscheduled events or changes.Ability to interface with all staff levels of associates including sponsor group executive management.Understanding of database structure. Ability to read and analyze financial and statistical reports and prepare synopsis of information.Strong knowledge of computer applications for publishing, image handling, and/or web production. Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and/or equivalent designing tools and software. Light HTML coding preferred.
