The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent is expected to work in the office on occasion.This position leads a final design unit in the Bridge Office, including overseeing the structural analysis and design of new and existing DOT structures, assisting in the preparation of plans and special provisions for new bridges, bridge widenings and reconstructions, bridge overlays, and miscellaneous structures such as special retaining walls, sound walls, hydraulic structures, etc., and managing the staff of the unit for work distribution, training, and performance.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). If obtaining licensure through comity (reciprocity), a practice pending letter from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.Three years of experience as an Engineer Senior or equivalent that demonstrates:

Experience in all phases of design, preparation of plans and specifications for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation structures;Experience reviewing bridge designs and specifications to identify deficiencies and inefficiencies in design;Experience in materials engineering.
