Scope of Position:

Corning Life Sciences (CLS) is looking for a dynamic marketing professional to join our marketing communications team. If you’re passionate about transforming technical product information and scientific data into compelling marketing messages, this may be the position for you. The Corning Life Sciences marketing team uses integrated marketing communications programs to reach scientists and engineers working across areas of life sciences research, bioproduction and drug packaging – from cancer research to drug screening to cell therapy development and drug fill/finish with pharmaceutical glass packaging. We get excited about connecting scientists with the right solutions to further their research, bring a drug to clinical trials or protect a drug once it’s ready to be delivered to patients, all while growing our business and market share. In this role, you will work with business, sales and scientific subject matter expert internal clients to develop integrated marketing communications strategies, programs, campaigns and tactics to support new and existing products, as well as key regional and CLS marketing objectives.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Works with commercial and business operations partners as well as internal scientific teams to develop comprehensive marketing strategies, programs, campaigns and tactical plans for the bioproduction business groups and key marketing programs.

Tracks results and reports back to internal stakeholders on lead generation, ROI as well as other relevant campaign metrics

Works with business teams to develop a deep understanding of the buying journey and personas for assigned market segments

Works with digital SMEs on marketing automation (lead nurture, lead attribution, etc.), web, social, webinars, SEO/SEM and other digital strategies and programs to generate awareness, create engagement and ultimately lead generation

Works to identify relevant industry events and then develop an event strategy and tactical execution

Identifies and engages with industry third party publications to secure paid rich content media placements to build awareness, thought leadership, technical credibility, and brand authority

Develops and executes a content marketing strategy

Collaborates with customers to develop enriched content to help build thought leadership and technical credibility

Ensure all marketing communications materials meet brand compliance

Informs and shares campaign strategies and materials with regional marcom counterparts

Utilizes Corning’s customer relationship management and marketing automation tools

Travel Requirements

: Up to 25%, Occasional travel to tradeshows, sales meetings and other Corning locations

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

Full-time with occasional requirements to participate in international teleconferences

Position can be hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 remote

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Marketing Communications roles

Experience in life sciences industry or medical device a plus

Required Skills:

Integrated marketing communications program experience

Experience with Life Sciences industry, other technical industry or willingness to learn

Project and budget management experience

A strong desire to develop winning marketing programs through creative thinking

Digital marketing skills, especially email, web, social and search content strategy and execution plus familiarity with marketing analytics

Strong writing and editing skills

Business judgment and the ability to work to budgets

The ability to negotiate with and manage external vendors

Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

Experience with public relations

Experience working with global regional marketing communications teams

Soft Skills:

A willingness and ability to work under deadlines

Confidence, tact, and a persuasive manner

Good organizational and time management skills, ability to effectively multi-task

The ability to lead and motivate a team, including managing up and cross-functionally within a business

The range for this position is $107,039.00 - $147,179.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
