As the Director of Visual Merchandising at Sunnyside, you'll lead in creating captivating in-store experiences that elevate our brand and engage customers. You’ll develop strategies that boost sales and enhance the shopper experience. Your vision will tie together essential elements, from in-store identity and visual style to layout optimization and POS displays. Leadership, creativity, and a strategic mindset are crucial to success, as there’s no set playbook for cannabis merchandising. Your work will ensure every visit to Sunnyside feels like a journey of discovery and delight.CORE JOB DUTIES

Develop a cohesive in-store vision, tactical guardrails and process aligned with branding standards, regional capabilities, and merchant team objectives to drive sales.Build plans for all aspects of visual merchandising, including product displays, signage and marketing campaigns. Architect specialty messaging like exclusive strains and product drops.Direct in-store teams to execute visual strategy effectively, driving accountability for all tactics and campaigns.Lead the Brand and Creative teams to deliver visuals that balance assortment and merchandising necessities with brand aesthetic standards to create store cohesion.Collaborate with IT on visual merchandising enhancements (e.g. digital signage or interactive displays) and proactively champion these ideas to leap frog competition.Deliver ROI-based investment pitches. Communicate impact with clear KPIs, linked to Merchant and Marketing leadership goals.Manage Visual Merchandising budget and work closely with the Finance team to ensure proper spend pacing and vendor payment processing.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Minimum 7 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in retail or related industry.Proven track record of leading visual merchandising initiatives in a retail or similar environment.Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, including layout design, product presentation, and brand storytelling.A passion to build from scratch and create the strategy and process to get there.Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.Exceptional creativity. Knows how to pull together multiple visual concepts into a cohesive plan.Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and sales trends to inform decision making.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated ability to drive results and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.BENEFITS
