POSITION OVERVIEW:
Black Diamond is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to drive our continued marketing success and oversee the development and delivery of a fully-integrated $1M+ marketing budget for our company. The Marketing Manager manages and participates in the marketing process from research and planning to execution and analysis onsite at our headquarters in San Jose. This position has the opportunity for a promotion to the Marketing Director position within 1 year for the right candidate who demonstrates consistent success and leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain successful existing marketing campaigns while researching and developing new campaigns.
Manage a marketing team of up to 4 staff, including hiring, training, workloads, schedules and deadlines.
Develop and manage monthly and annual $1M+ budget, monitoring costs, receipts and ROI.
Share in the execution of the day to day responsibilities of the Marketing department while delegating effectively.
Continue to develop innovative advertising, public relations and social media campaigns and help with company events.
Learn, master and ensure the integrity of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Successfully help to oversee and manage multiple annual company events.
Analyze the performance of the Marketing team for corrective action and hold the team accountable.
Must be able to make tough decisions and follow through as needed.
Learn and implement our SOPs and revise as necessary.
Design training and knowledge base applicable to written and digital marketing.
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field with at least 5 years’ experience as a Marketing Manager
Extensive, proven, successful Sales and/or Sales Promotion experience is a must
Excellent attention to detail, including proofing and editing skills
Organized and proactive with follow through
Proven leadership skills to manage, motivate and develop our marketing staff on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
Superior presentation skills
Insightful and creative
Expertise with Microsoft (including Excel), Google, Facebook, Instagram and Yelp
Previous industry and expansion experience is a plus
COMPENSATION:
$100,000 - $125,000+ including salary, overrides and bonuses, based on departmental success
An opportunity for advancement to the Director position within 1 year with demonstration of consistent achievement of budgets, success and leadership
