Salary Range:

$50,000-60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications; comprehensive benefits package

Our small but mighty team is passionate about building a world abounding with people who are connected, community-minded, and empathetic. We are at an exciting stage in our organization’s evolution, launching a new SaaS platform this year and premiering a completely revamped online software platform that allows people to DIY their own Jewish rituals. To accomplish our goals, we are building out our network, designing and piloting exciting new online tools, and seeking to grow our team with more people who share our values of Caring, Questioning, Creating, Collaborating, and Celebrating.

About the Role:

Recustom is in search of a full-time Community and Content Manager to join our fully-remote team. This role is perfect for an individual with strong administrative and customer experience skills eager to help build our online ritual database and community, while growing alongside our organization.

This position will report to the Associate Marketing Director and primarily serve as a content moderator and customer service representative for the newly revamped Recustom.com platform. The expectation is that they become a content and platform expert, familiarizing themselves completely with the rituals that live on Recustom.com and how to use the platform to DIY Jewish rituals. This role will be responsible for moderating all Jewish rituals on Recustom.com by reviewing and approving all incoming content, tagging all content appropriately to ensure it is findable, and compiling content into Jewish ritual booklets for various occasions. This role will also support our community of users by responding to inquiries, helping them troubleshoot our website, hosting office hours and workshops demonstrating how to use our platform, creating and curating Help Center articles, and more. Additional administrative tasks such as building bulk emails, coordinating editorial working group meetings, and supporting the development and marketing teams will be supported by this role as well.

This is a full-time, 38-hour a week remote position with early closure on Fridays for Shabbat. Our organization offers a flexible working schedule, with required core working hours of 9 am to 1 pm Eastern, Monday-Friday. While the organization has Jewish holidays off, there may be some Jewish holidays for which this person will need to be on-call to help users troubleshoot as issues arise.

Job Duties:

Content Moderation (40%)

Conduct a full review of popular content on Recustom.com and ensure all content is tagged and categorized appropriately.

Assist with the transfer of content from our old platforms to our new one.

Create comprehensive community guidelines, and review all incoming user-generated content to ensure it is in-line with those guidelines and tagged and categorized appropriately.

Compile content into curated ritual booklets to mark various lifecycle events.

Build relationships with partners and users to encourage them to update existing content and upload new content to our platform as it is developed.

Support internal staff in finding appropriate rituals from the Recustom.com platform to share and promote for various holidays and milestones.

Tracking website and user analytics to identify popular content and rituals and inform the team about any trends or content gaps.

Provide administrative support for Recustom’s content working group by taking meeting minutes, coordinating meetings, project managing activities, and more.

Customer Service and Community Management (30%)

Support partners and users in uploading content to our website as needed.

Monitor the …@recustom.com inbox and respond to requests from our users and partners as they arise.

Oversee and manage the Help Center to support technological challenges and assist users with using the platform efficiently, including by developing videos and additional instructional articles.

Host and coordinate webinars and office hours to teach our users how to discover and DIY Jewish rituals using our platform.

Administrative Support (30%)

Build bulk email newsletters and appeals in Hubspot.

Become the organizational Salesforce lead and perform administrative duties as required.

Pull reports and segment lists from Salesforce, assist with data entry, and other Salesforce tasks as requested by the team.

Assist with planning and coordinating events for platform users and donors.

Other administrative tasks to support the development and marketing department as requested.

Desired Skills and Experience:

To be maximally successful in this role, you need to be:

Accustomed to working on various simultaneous projects with multiple deadlines.

Comfortable working across a number of digital tools and platforms.

A digital native and well-versed in using and learning new technologies.

A clear communicator who is comfortable speaking in front of groups.

Flexible and able to cope with shifting priorities and deadlines.

A self-starter who is willing to jump right in to projects as requested.

A hands-on implementer who is equally comfortable with being creative and strategic, and conducting mundane, repetitive tasks and taking direction.

Minimum Qualifications:

2-3 years of work experience in communications or media role, or working for a software or tech company in a customer facing role.

Background in content moderation, including curating, categorizing, and cataloging a large collection of content.

Familiarity with Jewish rituals and traditions and an in-depth understanding of needs and concerns within the diverse Jewish communities.

Customer service experience, or ability to demonstrate patience and kindness toward a diverse community of users.

Ability to learn new softwares and technologies with ease and help users problem-solve and troubleshoot.

Ability to analyze data and identify trends and gaps.

Strong writing skills.
