To do that with Databricks documentation, we need experience. We particularly need experienced writers who know how to break down complex cloud-based services and deliver well-designed technical content that guides data engineers and developers to love the Databricks platform and the power and flexibility it offers. We are looking for a technical writer (or if you have prior technical documentation experience) who deeply understands the engineering audience and has experience with cloud platforms.The impact you will have:Develop technical content and code examples that spans the Databricks product, focusing on the needs of Databricks’ data engineering and developer customersCreate, define, and drive technical content strategies and documentation site featuresMentor and develop junior writers and peersInform and inspire our customers, setting standards for great technical content all-around!What we look for:5+ years of technical writing experience working with cloud servicesTechnical writer, product manager, developer relations, or support engineering backgroundDemonstrated strong technical writing skillsExperience in content design and information architectureExperience working with content analyticsStrong individual or group leadership skills and experienceExperience with data ingestion and streaming platforms and technology (ideally Spark)Demonstrated experience planning and delivering large cross-functional projects2+ years coding experience in Python or Java/ScalaMedical, Dental, and Vision401(k) PlanFSA, HSA and Commuter Benefit PlansEquity AwardsFlexible Time OffFamily PlanningFitness ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Business Travel Accident InsuranceMental Wellness ResourcesPay Range TransparencyDatabricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
