The CMO brings strategy, innovation and a creative approach to effectively bring greater awareness to Victory Junction’s mission and impact. The CMO creates marketing and communications strategies that advance Victory Junction’s brand, supports fundraising and recruitment efforts and engages target audiences. The CMO leads, manages, and creates the culture for the marketing team of four. The CMO is responsible for developing the marketing and communications plan, budget and results.Organizational OverviewVictory Junction enriches the lives of children with serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, at no cost to children or their families. Located in Randleman, NC, Victory Junction is spread across 84 acres, allowing children to do what they do best – be kids, play, imagine, make friends and enjoy the adventures and experiences of camp life. Victory Junction is a member of the SeriousFun Children’s Network founded by Paul Newman and is accredited by the American Camping Association.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Develop and oversee all marketing strategic initiatives including short, mid and long term measurable objectivesOversee the marketing budget and ensure the marketing department operates within approved budget while focusing on meeting strategic goalsOversee the development and coordination of all Victory Junction collateral and communications across all departmentsResponsible for the development and management of the Victory Junction brand and ensure that the brand standards are followed, both internally and externallyProvide leadership, coaching and development opportunities to marketing employeesManage and execute Victory Junction’s crisis communications planCollaborate with other departments to create strategies that promote fundraising, recruitment and brand awarenessManage media relationships and secure media placements locally, regionally, and nationallyPromote, contribute, and actively participate in a positive, professional culture for allFoster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusionAdhere to Victory Junction’s core values of Safety, High Standards, Empowerment, Respect and TeamworkAny other duties assignedQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
