Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled and certified Fire Sprinkler System Designer to join the internal Fire Protection/Loss Prevention group for a global healthcare products manufacturer. This role will involve designing, supporting designs, and making changes to fire protection systems for various types of facilities, including office buildings, industrial facilities, and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:Design fire protection systems in accordance with Factory Module (FM) insurance guidelines and national standards (IBC, IFC, NFPA).Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and at least one sprinkler CAD package (HydraCAD, AutoSprink, or SprinkCAD) to create and modify designs.Transition between different CAD packages as needed for various projects.Stamp drawings and ensure compliance with NICET Level 2 certification requirements.Design and provide support for special hazard protection systems, including cooling towers and flammable liquid protection.Develop and revise construction documents related to fire protection systems.Design private underground fire mains and ensure compliance with relevant standards.Support fire protection projects at other US locations (no travel involved).Preferred Qualifications:

NICET Level 2 certification or higher is necessary.Familiarity with Factory Module (FM) insurance guidelines.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and one or more sprinkler CAD packages (HydraCAD, AutoSprink, or SprinkCAD).Experience in special hazard protection, including cooling towers and flammable liquid protection preferred.Familiarity with national standards such as IBC, IFC, and NFPA.Experience in creating and revising construction documents.Knowledge of private underground fire main design preferred.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
