Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team in supporting MEP projects in Chesapeake, VA. In this role, you will utilize AutoCAD and Revit to perform mechanical and plumbing design for a diverse range of projects including multifamily, K-12, municipal, mixed-use, and city supportive projects. You will coordinate with architects and clients, calculate load qualifications, and collaborate effectively with a team of drafters and engineers.
Top Skills & Qualifications:
1-5+ years of mechanical design experience within MEP building projects
Proficient in Revit/AutoCAD
Experience designing load calculations
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Work Environment
This position is based in a small, family-oriented office environment consisting of 12-15 team members in Chesapeake. Our work culture promotes freedom in problem-solving without micromanagement. You will work alongside Revit/CAD Techs and MEP Engineers on projects across Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach, Richmond, and the Outer Banks. Regular office hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a business casual dress code.
