YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare electronic designs as required to meet commitments of the company.Accurately simulate and predict the performance of microwave and RF circuits using tools such as Microwave Office/ADS, HFSS, PSPICE, and others as required.Support the development and testing of high-power amplifier circuits using both simulation and laboratory work.Communicate well and work collaboratively with other engineering functions understanding their needs and constraints in order to provide a holistically optimal design that meets customer requirements.Able to lead a project team from the RF engineering perspective and ensure designs meet customer requirements while optimized for size, weight, power and costs.Able to work independently on most RF engineering tasks with minimal oversight from senior level RF Engineers.Provide guidance to junior level RF engineers, as well as peer review work from other RF Engineer II roles.Give effective presentations to general audiences with all necessary backup material for internal and external consumption.Able to present a design and confidently justify all design decisions through applicable analysis or testing.Design knowledge of common power amplifier topics such as but not limited to: splitting and combining RF power with different architectures, RF coupling, power matching, matching networks, CW vs. Pulse Design, Lumped and Distributed Element Design Theory, and common RF design bandsSome knowledge of grounding and shielding in the propagation environment, including understanding of noise generated by devices and active components, noise in digital circuits, and transient suppression techniques.Understand linear design theory, non-linear design theory and basic PA design theory.Analyze complex circuit chains with spreadsheets to predict and verify designs.Knowledge of RF test setups, equipment function and calibration techniques.Provide information regarding "as built" configuration, as required for permanent records.Understand RF Engineering specific tasks required for project milestones and plans work accordingly to ensure completion of tasks by project milestones based on usual task durations, difficulty, and risks.Able to provide methods of compliance from design to a customer specification.Ensure effective communication among all parties involved in a project.Able to balance multiple projects and support operations personnel as issues arise during build.Respond to customer inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within scope of knowledge or refer to an employee of higher classification.Assist with activities including design preparation and other related technical support.Provide engineering support to the test and production departments, as required.Ensure that projects are completed accurately and on time.Maintain current and accurate design records.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field of study. Equivalent education, training or expeirence may be substitued.

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.Preferred Qualifications:

MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet software, AutoCAD, Spice, PADS, AWR Microwave Office, and Ansoft HFSS.

Salary Range: $89,500 - $111,876 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
