CNA/Nursing Assistant SMEs Needed - Core Content Dev

Working in partnership with a CONFIDENTIAL esteemed educational publisher, Lumina Datamatic's, Inc. is currently seeking Nurse Assistant/Assisting/CNA SMEs who can collaborate on core content creation for a new textbook edition. Ideal candidates will have a master's degree in nursing education, nurse assisting or a very similar field, and possesses knowledge of patient care techniques, medical equipment, and nursing assisting best practices. College instructors, adjuncts, and professors who are nursing educators or who teach nurse assisting are encouraged to apply.
Project description:The project involves developing core content for a 6th edition Nurse Assisting textbook. Manuscript development is planned to begin in September and run into August 2025. Note, this timeline may be exaggerated to some degree. Weekly time commitment is estimated at 15-20 hours per week. Additional day-to-day responsibilities include:
Reviewing existing content from the 5th edition textUpdating informationRevising and updating section chaptersMaking improvements to pedagogical featuresEnsuring complianceCollaborating with the author and co-contributing subject matter expertsEditing and proofreadingVerifying all content complies with relevant educational standards, such as state or national curriculum requirements.Collaborating with the project managerUpdating references and resources
Qualifications:Writers should have a master’s degree in an appropriate field [nursing education].Possesses knowledge of patient care techniques, medical equipment, and demonstrates empathetic engagement and soft skills.SMEs will have 5+ years’ experience teaching nursing assistant courses or other relevant healthcare courses at a college or vocational school.Candidates will be asked to provide or produce writing samples.
Note - experience teaching CNA courses/nursing assistants is more important than the advanced degree. Candidates with a bachelor's degree and ample teaching experience will be given serious consideration.
