Position Overview | The Big Picture

The Marketing Manager oversees and directs all marketing, advertising, and promotional initiatives and develops and implements strategies to promote and enhance the company’s products and services in keeping with the vision and brand of the organization. The Marketing Manager collaborates with the Director of Sales, and Chief Creative Officer to successfully execute initiatives. This position functions independently and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. The Marketing Manager reports to and receives direction from the President and may receive direction from the Chief Creative Officer.

Collaborates with the Chief Creative Officer and Director of Sales to develop marketing, advertising, and promotional strategies to promote the company’s products and services across all product lines in keeping with the vision and brand of the organization.Develops tactical initiatives that place the company brand effectively in existing markets and new target markets to maximize brand recognition.Manages marketing team to develop and execute new concepts, marketing avenues, channels, and partners, to position business as innovator and leaderInterviews, hires, and trains department staff.Manages performance and evaluates staff.Manages creative projects of the department to develop sales, marketing, and advertising materials, templates, and sales collateral for print, video, digital, and web media. Leads all areas of content generation and production across all media platforms and collaborates with other design teams to achieve goals.Prepares and adheres to department budgets.Ensures integration of company brands in collateral and marketing tools.Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding marketing performance and metrics.Builds relationships with industry contacts and the media to further promote the company brand.Monitors and analyzes market trends, customer insight, and other metrics and recommends changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback.Monitors social media trends to ensure marketing efforts strategically utilize these avenues and engagement grows.Sets priorities and resolves conflicts between competing demands.Establishes cooperative working relationships with all departments.Other Duties and Safety Requirements |

Complies with department and company safety guidelines, procedures, rules, and training expectations.Establishes safety guidelines and expectations, and ensures that staff follows all company and departmental safety guidelines, procedures, and rules.Mentors safe work practices to co-workers and team.Completes all safety training as directed and within established timelines.Tracks and enters time and assigns hours and tasks to appropriate events and jobs in the time and attendance system. Ensures staff do the same.Completes all Human Resources and Payroll tasks and notifications through the Employee Self Service Online Portal on a weekly basis, as directed and within established timelines. Ensures staff does the same.May perform other duties as required.Qualifications | What You Need to Bring

A minimum of 3-5 years of related work and experience in marketing (particularly in a creative or event décor industry).A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or in a related field.Proven marketing leadership skills; proven experience in developing and managing effective strategic and tactical plans.Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a Marketing team.Excellent writing skills and copywriting skills.Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required, particularly in Excel.Outstanding interpersonal communications and conflict management skills.Effective diplomacy, problem solving and mediation skills.Works well under pressure with a proven ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced setting, and meet deadlines and goals.Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and outstanding follow-up skills.Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels.Demonstrated ability to mentor, share skills and knowledge with others.Works independently with minimal supervision.Knowledge of event industry is preferred.Physical and Work Environment Requirements | What it is Like in the Office

Ability to use a computer 75% the work day.Ability to sit up to 75% of the work day.Ability to walk 25% of the work day.Required to move throughout the buildings during the work day.Ability to travel to client and venue locations to preview events.Must be able to tolerate moderate noise.Must have 20/20 vision with correction.
