Job Title: Director of Marketing

Reports to:

Vice President of Marketing

Position Overview:The Director of Marketing will lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive fan engagement, and support ticketing, partnership, and merchandise goals. Responsible for all aspects of marketing, sales, partnerships, and operations, this position emphasizes growth and building a high-performance, revenue-driven environment. The Director of Marketing will oversee paid media and promotional efforts across all channels, collaborating closely with internal teams, external clients, the community, and partners to create cohesive marketing campaigns aligned with organizational objectives. Role Responsibilities:Oversee all marketing campaigns, including paid social marketing efforts across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, Twitter, TikTok), traditional OOH, and email marketing (Marketing Cloud)Develop and implement Wave FC's digital marketing strategy.Ensure consistent brand messaging and identity across all communications.Collaborate with internal teams to execute digital, traditional, and email marketing campaigns.Drive fan acquisition, retention, and engagement through an integrated marketing strategy.Develop personalized fan journeys and integrated campaigns to support sales initiatives.Provide regular reports on marketing spend, performance, SEO, and Google Analytics metrics.Foster collaboration with ticket sales, partnerships, and revenue-driving departments.Research and forecast future sales and performance trends.Lead, supervise, and motivate the digital marketing team.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.Adapt quickly to evolving business needs.

Additional Role Responsibilities:

Traditional Marketing:

Oversee traditional marketing efforts including print, radio, and TV advertising.Out-of-Home Strategy:

Develop and implement out-of-home advertising strategies to enhance brand visibility.Budget Management:

Plan and manage the marketing budget in collaboration with the VP of Marketing, ensuring all projects stay within allocated budgets.Key Communications:

Craft and manage key communications to ensure alignment with the overall brand strategy and organizational goals.

Key Areas of Focus:

Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies:

Build brand awareness and fan engagement through multi-channel marketing campaigns.Manage Marketing and Advertising:

Oversee media buying, advertising campaigns, and budget management, including email marketing via Salesforce Marketing Cloud.Collaborate with Internal Teams:

Partner with creative, production, ticketing, partnership, merchandise, community, and game day operations teams.Data-Driven Decision Making:

Monitor, report, and optimize marketing campaign performance using data insights.Budget and Project Management:

Plan the annual marketing budget, manage projects, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.Brand Consistency and Compliance:

Maintain brand style guidelines and ensure marketing materials reflect Wave FC's values and mission.Industry Engagement:

Stay current with marketing trends and represent Wave FC at industry events.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of seven years in marketing, preferably in the sports industry, with a proven track record of successful campaigns.

Skills:

In-depth sports industry knowledge and reliable forecasting.Strong relationship-building skills internally and externally.Commitment to the success of Women's Professional Sports.Professional, positive, proactive, and detail-oriented.Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite and proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.Exceptional analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

Flexibility:

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays for game days and events outside traditional business hours.

Salary:

$105,000 - $120,000
