This Senior Design position will focus on supporting the creative design campaigns and promotional creative for a major Sports network's live events and studio shows. This includes show branding, insert graphic builds, marketing topicals, live action shoots, editor-executed design systems and large format animation design campaigns. If you are a collaborative creative partner and have a passion for visualizing creative storytelling – we’d look forward to working with you.
• Work on a wide range of projects related to show graphics packages, from concept to design.
• Design for other tent-pole priorities that the team supports such as large-scale design campaigns or in-depth features.
• Play an integral part in building a flexible design system and creative toolkit that scales across platforms from digital to linear and beyond.
• Translate assignment details and creative direction into visually compelling solutions.
• Push for creative excellence and innovation while balancing the priorities of the business.
• Prepare and present creative to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and inspire your teammates and production partners in shaping both the design direction and creative culture.
• Coach and mentor others on the team on industry trends and best practices.
• Adhere to established team workflows and processes.
• Utilize project management skills with ability to prioritize, meet multiple deadlines, and transition between assignments easily.
• Continually and proactively advance hands-on creative skillsets, knowledge of the business, and overall visual ideation
Applicant Qualities:
• Looking for someone who can come in and make an immediate impact
• Previous experience working in broadcast network design would be ideal, though not a requirement
• Experience working at a creative agency or media organization
• Would like to see applicants with strong portfolios – diverse body of work that demonstrates a skilled grasp of typography, composition and balance
• Working knowledge of 2D & 3D animation & motion theory would be an asset, but the role will largely focus on static design work
• The candidate will work closely with Art and Creative Directors, but extra, elevated independent thought is highly valued in this role
• Looking for someone who is curious about our work and can “think creatively” to push the boundaries of conventional design
• A fair amount of the role (roughly 40%) will be dedicated to marketing creative for promotions
Working knowledge of Cinema 4D.
• Ability to assemble and create content using non-linear editing software.
• Appreciation for the wonderful world of Sports/experience working within Sports brands
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
This can be an onsite role if the applicant is local to Bristol, CT.
Otherwise, they will work remote.
The team works 9a-6p EST but we can be flexible if they are not on the east coast.
