POSITION SUMMARY

This position will report to the Director of Packaging Print Production. The experienced Packaging Production Artist will be a team player who is fast, accurate and organized that can seamlessly join a highly productive and fast paced studio environment. Having a keen eye for design, typography and attention to detail, the Packaging Production Artist must feel comfortable following strict brand guidelines as well as be able to manipulate graphics creatively when necessary. A thorough understanding of structure/dielines is also necessary.

Role is 24 hours/week - 3 days/week on-site. May flex to more hours based upon business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create Print-Ready Mechanicals according to brand guidelines for the following:Packaging - Secondaries, Primaries, Ancillaries, etc. as well as any otherRelevant related print marketing materials

Be comfortable using hands and tools to mock up pre-production samples and comps; also doing basic photo retouching and 2D renderings using Photoshop and Illustrator.REQUIREMENTS

Must have Production Artist experience in Packaging with excellent typography and relevant experience5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related areaPackaging experience in the beauty industry preferredManagerial experience a plusComp/prototype studio experience is preferredThorough understanding of various printing processes and manufacturing techniques for both primary and secondary packagingKnowledge of common industry printing processes and manufacturing techniquesLight photo retouching and 2D rendering skillsProficient in the following software:
