Job Description

The Global Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for all product marketing strategies and activities for the Belkin business through effective research, planning, and budgeting. The position is responsible for defining the global positioning, messaging, naming, and launch plans for specific categories and products. This role is instrumental in our growth, and it is highly cross-functional, working closely with key stakeholders across the Global Product, Engineering, Industrial Design, Sales, Legal, Partnership, Creative, and Marketing organizations.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Define core target audience/personas for assigned categories and products: target profile, buying behavior, interests, needs, and purchasing drivers.

• Collaborate with Global Product Management and Regional Marketing to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyers (USPs, Reasons to believe, key-use cases, mapped to target insights and competitive white space).

• In conjunction with Digital, Brand, and Regional Marketing teams, develop the GTM strategy for new products and support for existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

• Build marketing plans for the assigned categories and products, including key activities, channels, and budgets to support awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention, and reports back to the business on the effectiveness of the programs.

• Collaborate with the Consumer Insights Team to conduct global market, competitor, and customer research and continually analyze and report back on trends.

• Manage planning and go-to-market execution of marketing assets, including global naming, global packaging, product key images, and Sales Sheets.

• Collaborate with Global Product Management to transfer product knowledge to Sales, Marketing, Partners, and Customer Advocacy to ensure success in the market.

• Drive proactive and consistent communication with cross-functional teams including Global Product Management, Internal Creative Group, Engineering, Industrial Design Group, Legal Teams, and Packaging Engineering to ensure the accuracy of content, copy, specifications, legal marks, etc. for all materials produced.

• Initiate, define, and manage day-to-day marketing activities including developing creative briefs, marketing plans, and product category marketing strategies.

• Collaborate with regional teams to understand regional requirements related to marketing positioning, messaging, naming, and packaging; ensuring timely launches across the regions (Americas, EMEA, APEA, ANZ).

• Develop and manage launch calendars based on product roadmaps, and ensure deadlines are communicated to global and cross-functional teams.

• Provide direction and leadership to vendors, agencies, and internal creative staff to develop best-in-class creative assets that are then produced and delivered on schedule.

• Understands and enforces brand and legal requirements for the application of third-party logos, certifications, and brand guidelines for partnerships and awards.

• Performs frequent customer journey audits to understand and identify shopper purchase hurdles and drivers online and offline; shares results within the company to drive improvements.

• Maintains general awareness of marketing trends, pop culture, and key trends within the consumer electronics industry.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5-7 years of direct product marketing experience, preferably in consumer products or consumer electronics.

• Detail-oriented individual, with strong project management skills and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, product management, or business administration or other applicable disciplines.

• Results-oriented and data-driven. You use data to identify problems, find opportunities, and drive improvement in our marketing and growth efforts.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

• Cross-functional collaboration and consensus-building to drive alignment and action.

• A working knowledge of design, photography, and creative collateral.

• Must be flexible, open to change, and have the ability to shift direction and priorities often.

Range for this position:

$75,000 - $95,000

Factors such as geographic location, academic credentials, relevant experience, and specific knowledge, skills and abilities will influence the actual salary offered. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, compensation also includes a performance-based bonus, and in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
